Livebooks respects the intellectual-property rights of others and expects its users to do the same. We respond to notices of alleged copyright infringement that comply with the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and equivalent procedures under EU law.
Filing a notice
If you believe content hosted on Livebooks infringes your copyright, send a written notice to the designated agent below. The notice must include: (a) your physical or electronic signature; (b) identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed; (c) identification of the material to be removed, with enough detail to locate it (URL or paragraph reference); (d) your contact information; (e) a statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized; (f) a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and that you are authorized to act on behalf of the rights holder.
Counter-notice
If you believe content of yours was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may file a counter-notice with the designated agent. The counter-notice must include: (a) your signature; (b) identification of the material that was removed and its prior location; (c) a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the removal was a mistake; (d) your contact information, your consent to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for the district in which you are located (or any Federal District Court if you are located outside the United States), and your agreement to accept service of process from the person who provided the original notice. Upon receipt of a valid counter-notice we may restore the material in 10–14 business days unless the original complainant files suit.
Repeat-infringer policy
We terminate accounts of users who are determined to be repeat infringers. A user who receives three (3) valid takedown notices that are not successfully counter-noticed will have their account permanently terminated and their content removed.
Designated agent
All notices and counter-notices must be sent to the designated copyright agent at the email address below. Notices that do not substantially comply with the requirements above may not be actionable.
